Since our inception in 2002, FDS has become an award-winning smoke ventilation contractor, working on some of the country’s most high-profile residential and commercial projects.
We wouldn’t have got to where we are today without the support of our staff.
The backbone of our success, our team are some of the most talented in their chosen fields, which is why we’re pleased to share the news of our internal promotions as well as new starters within the company.
Formerly a Purchasing Assistant, Garry Marks has now been promoted to Purchasing Supervisor. Essential to keeping projects running smoothly, his new position now entails supervising the FDS purchasing team, ensuring our smoke ventilation system components are ordered and arrive on site in line with the construction schedule.
With more projects under our belt than ever before, managing all of our clients and projects is a vital role at FDS, which is why we’ve promoted Emma Joseph – our former Service & Maintenance Team Co-ordinator – to Service and Maintenance Manager. Her new role will see her take charge and manage all service and maintenance accounts.
If you have called our FDS office, you will have undoubtedly been greeted by our receptionist, Sue Turner. Her great work has resulted in a promotion to Service & Maintenance Team Co-ordinator. She will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the engineers to call outs, as well as service and maintenance checks.
Taking on Sue’s previous duties will be Jill Earl, our new receptionist. She will be our first point of contact for anyone calling our offices.
To keep up with our increasing workload, we have a total of four new members of staff here at FDS.
Joining Jill as a new face to the office will be James Johnston. Brought in as a CAD Technician, James will be assisting his team with system design drawings for projects across a range of sectors.
We would also like to introduce Leanne Mitchell, who’s our new Team Co-ordinator. She will be supporting the project managers, ensuring that projects are on track and running smoothly.
Finally, we would like to welcome Matt Hill, our Purchasing and Logistics Assistant. He will be working with Garry Marks in his new role.
From all of us here at FDS, we wish you all the best in your new roles!
