After another successful year here at FDS Contracting, our team’s hard work has been recognised by Building and Facilities News – a leading publication within the construction industry – having been awarded the Fire Engineering Solution Provider of the Year.
With a string of prestigious projects under our belt, including Langham Square, Royal Gateway, The Place and Riverlight to name but a few, the journalists at Building and Facilities News recognised the impressive growth within the company.
This growth wouldn’t have been possible without the close relationships we’ve built over the years with some of the country’s leading developers. Working with the likes of St. James, London Square, St George and Barratt Homes, FDS has been able to work on a range of projects across the residential and commercial sectors.
An area that impressed the publication was our rapid level of business growth. Thanks to the relationships we’ve built, which has resulted in many repeat orders, we estimate a 43% growth on last year at the year-end following 29% growth the previous year
Since we began over 14 years ago, we have been responsible for designing innovative products like our mechanical and natural smoke ventilation systems. While these have been our core offerings, we have used our experience and expertise in the smoke ventilation market to design new systems, which was recognised by Building and Facilities news.
Among these was our sought after environmental chiller system. Specifically designed to combat the problem of overheating in the common areas of high rise apartment blocks, the chiller system saves on construction costs and space by utilising the mechanical smoke ventilation system bringing cool air into common corridors during day-to-day operation.
While it is still a relatively new system within our product offering, Building and Facilities News was impressed by the number of high-profile projects where the chiller system has been already been specified.
Here at FDS, we always strive to deliver the best possible service, ensuring that we provide systems that are not only the most efficient in the market, but also tackle a common problem in the industry, such as the environmental chiller system.
We are delighted that our work has been recognised by a leading construction trade title, and we would like to thank all of our staff for being the driving force in getting FDS to where we are today.
